Three Shophouses In Pasar Kemis Were Devoured By Fire, 5 Fire Trucks Were Brought Down

JAKARTA - A total of three units of permanent shop houses (ruko) on Jalan Raya Pasar Kemis, Sukamantri Village, Cilongok, Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency, Banten, were scorched on Wednesday, December 15, early in the morning at 01:53 a.m.

"Yes, it is true, there has been a fire and we received a report at 01:53 a.m. this morning," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of Tangerang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Abdul Munir in Tangerang, Wednesday morning.

He said, because of the incident, his party immediately dispatched five units of fire engines (Damkar) with 25 personnel to the location of the fire.

"The units (Firefighters) that were launched, one unit of Mako Curug, one post of Pasar Kemis, one post of Sepatan, one post of Mauk and received the assistance of one unit of Periuk Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), Tangerang City," he said.

He said the fire had scorched a permanent shop house. However, the cause of the fire, loss of life and material losses are still unknown to the firefighters.

"Officers are still doing the extinguishing and cooling. However, three shophouses were burnt down," he said.
