ACEH - The Cut Meutia Regional General Hospital (RSUD) North Aceh Regency has had zero COVID-19 patients since the last two months following the decline in the transmission and spread of the corona virus in the region.

"Since the last two months, no COVID-19 patients have been treated. However, we ask that health workers remain ready if there are COVID-19 patients who must be treated," said Public Relations of Cut Meutia Jalaluddin Hospital in Lhokseumawe, Antara, Tuesday, November 30. .

The total number of COVID-19 patients who have been treated at the Cut Meutia Hospital since the COVID-19 pandemic took place reached 598 people.

Of these, 479 patients were declared cured, while 119 people died. Patients died not only from Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh Regency, but also from other areas, such as East Aceh.

According to Jalaluddin, the absence of COVID-19 patients in the last two months was influenced by the government's incessant mass vaccination program to establish group immunity.

"This vaccination program has been proven to build immunity, and it can be seen that the current number of COVID-19 cases continues to decline," he said.

Currently, said Jalaluddin, the number of residents seeking treatment for various diseases at the Cut Meutia Hospital is increasing. This increase occurred when there were zero hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.

However, he reminded the public who visited the Cut Meutia Hospital not to be careless about the health protocols because the COVID-19 pandemic is still not over.

"Previously, people were afraid to seek treatment in hospitals because of COVID-19 patients. In fact, hospitals served patients according to procedures, both for general patients and for COVID-19 patients," said Jalaluddin.
