New Facts About The Mercedes Benz Accident That Went In The Opposite Direction On The JORR Toll Road

JAKARTA - The police discovered new facts behind the Mercedes Benz E300 or Mercy accident that hit three other vehicles on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) Toll Road. One of them, the driver did not turn around on the toll road, but had been in the opposite direction since entering.

"There are several new findings, so the information from the officer concerned entered the toll road against the direction of the Bintara toll road. So the entry was from the toll exit instead of crossing the road," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya Grand Commissioner Adjutant Argo Wiyono to reporters, Monday, 29 November.

Then, another fact was found, namely the identity of the driver of the Mercedes E300, after previously being said to have no identity. Later, the 66-year-old man was identified with the initials MSD.

"Yesterday, it was stated that during the initial examination there was no identity, but it turned out that the information was carrying a wallet. Then there was the identity card and cellphone in question," said Argo.

Even those facts, said Argo, were known based on the results of the case. So, with this fact, the police will conduct a follow-up case to determine the legal status of MSD. On the other hand, regarding dementia suffered by MSD, said Argo, his party will examine the family. Then, proceed with asking for information from a psychiatrist.

"Today, the family will come with medical records. Only the doctor who is a psychiatrist will only come tomorrow for an examination and confirm whether the person concerned really has dementia," said Argo.

For information, the driver of the Mercedes Benz E300 or Mercy sedan drives recklessly on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) KM 53,600 or at the Cikunir toll exit, on Saturday, November 27.
