JAKARTA - The Head of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet said that entrepreneurs are often the object of illegal levies from state officials or officials.
This was conveyed before participating in the signing of the MoU between Kadin and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This activity was held at the KPK's Merah Putih Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
"Indonesian entrepreneurs have always been the object of levies. They are given wrong things, they are not wrong. They are given jail time, they can't get projects," Bamsoet told reporters, Thursday, November 25.
For this reason, entrepreneurs face a dilemma when getting or accepting projects from the state budget offered by officials. The reason is that state administrators who should be far from corrupt practices often look for loopholes in the midst of the misunderstanding of business actors.
Thus, Bamsoet wants the work agreement between Kadin and the KPK to provide legal certainty for entrepreneurs when receiving projects from officials.
In addition, the anti-corruption commission was also asked to provide an understanding so that no one else could easily ask for illegal levies in the form of voluntary donations.
"We hope that this collaboration will make 'people feel embarrassed' or horrified if they ask entrepreneurs for 'aunt's milk', especially members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry," said the Chairman of the MPR RI.
"Aunt's milk means a voluntary donation without pressure, but insisting," said Bamsoet.
