Luhut Alluded To The Question Of 3 Districts With Minimal Vaccinations, Banten's Deputy Police Chief Risked His Performance Towards 2022's Christmas and New Year

JAKARTA - The results of the analysis and evaluation carried out by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Panjaitan regarding the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM), the Banten region has 3 districts with low scores for vaccination program achievements, namely Lebak, Pandeglang, and Serang districts.

In response to this, the Banten Police held a coordination meeting to accelerate vaccination in three districts with low numbers.

Based on data owned by the Banten Government, through the local Health Office, it is known that the achievement of vaccination in the region is still not evenly distributed, in fact, there are still below 30%.

Data received by VOI showed that vaccination in Lebak Regency dose 1 was carried out on 592,412 people or 55.62%, and dose 2 was 309,066 people or 29.02%. Then, Pandeglang Regency dose 1 as many as 413,724 people or 42.11% and dose 2 as many as 182,265 people, or only 18.55%.

Furthermore, Serang District vaccinated dose 1 as many as 449,891 people or 35.71%, dose 2 as many as 237,351 people or only 18.84%. From several regencies and cities within the jurisdiction of the Banten Police, only Serang City has vaccinated more than 60%, namely dose 1 as many as 467,590 people or 88.97% and vaccination dose 2 as many as 333,769 people or 63.50%.

Based on these data, there are still districts that have numbers below 30 percent. Of course, this is an important note for the Banten Police to evaluate the vaccination program in its jurisdiction.

"According to the data, we need to accelerate vaccination in Lebak, Pandeglang and Serang regencies," said Banten Deputy Chief of Police BJP Ery Nursatari when holding a coordination meeting (Rakor) with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) at the Banten Police, Tuesday, November 23.

Ery also said that the acceleration of vaccination requires synergistic cooperation and coordination between agencies, both the Provincial Government, Banten Police, TNI to the Regency/City Government levels as well as the ranks of the Resort Police and Kodim.

"We must not be complacent, the increase in the number of COVID-19 is starting to occur in Europe and neighboring countries, it is better for us to risk our performance to optimally handle COVID-19 ahead of Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2022, so that the next wave of COVID-19 attacks will not happen again in our area,” explained Ery.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Banten Provincial Health Office, Ati Pramudji Hastuti, conveyed the need to mobilize residents to be vaccinated. Efforts that have been made by the government during the last Pilkades, continued Ati, are still not satisfactory because the achievement of vaccination is still very low at this time.

"Subdistrict heads, village heads, and village officials need to be optimized in gathering and mobilizing the masses, so that daily vaccination achievements can be increased," said Ati Pramudji.
