BULELENG - The Buleleng District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) has named the Head of the Village Credit Institution (LPD) of the Anturan Traditional Village, Buleleng District/Regency, Bali with the initials NAW as a suspect in the case of corruption in LPD funds worth Rp. 137 billion.

"Based on the Suspect Determination Letter Number: B-713/N.1.11/Fd.2/11/2021 dated November 22, 2021, the investigative team has named one suspect with the initials NAW who serves as Chair of the Anturan LPD," said Kajari Buleleng I Putu Gede Astawa quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 23.

Astawa said that based on preliminary calculations by the Buleleng Kejari investigator team, it was suspected that there were findings of a difference in funds indicating a loss to state finances of around Rp. 137 billion.

Until now, investigators are still waiting for the results of the calculation of the difference in funds from the Buleleng Regional Inspectorate team.

He explained that since 2010 until now, the Anturan Traditional Village LPD has run a savings and loan business and there is also a land plot business, receiving payments for electricity, water, telephone bills, paying taxes, and expanding credit distribution to outside the Pakraman Village area based on the results of the Pajuru Pararem. Furthermore, in 2019 the Anturan Traditional Village LPD has other assets in the form of plots of land worth Rp. 28,301,572,500 spread over 34 different locations.

"But the other assets in the form of plots of land are also included in the Punia (Voluntary) Fund of Rp. 500,000,000," he said.

Of the total loans disbursed in 2019 amounting to Rp244,558,694,000, there are interest arrears that have not been paid by customers amounting to Rp12,293,521,600 which were then used as loans.

"At that time there was no credit agreement between the customer and the Village Credit Institution (LPD) of the Anturan Traditional Village and there was also a loan for which there was no credit document (fictitious credit) of Rp. 150,433,420,956," said Kajari.

Kajari said that in the management of the Anturan Traditional Village LPD in 2019 there was a difference between capital of Rp. 29,262,215,507.50 and public savings of Rp. 253,981,825,542.00 with total assets of Rp. 146,175,646,344.00, approximately Rp. 137,068,394,705, 50.

He said the land plot business for the Anturan Traditional Village LPD was managed or carried out by the suspect as the head of the Anturan Traditional Village LPD.

Then, in the management of the land plot business, there is no marketing staff, so for the marketing of the plot of land using the services of an intermediary (broker) by providing a fee of 5 percent of the sales proceeds and deposited in the LPD account.

Furthermore, the proceeds from the sale of the plot of land were used to perform prayers (Tirta Yatra), including going to Kalimantan for Rp. 500,000,000, to Lombok for around Rp. 75,000,000, to Mount Salak for around Rp. 150,000,000, and for Bali around Rp. 50,000,000. , followed by all employees and traditional village officials and their families. However, the use of these funds was not reported by the suspect.

The NAW suspect is currently suspected of violating the provisions of Article 2, Article 3, Article 8 and Article 9 of Law no. 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
