Fadli Zon's Polemic Is Still Long, Gerindra Is Reprimanded For Being Offered To Join The Ummat Party

JAKARTA - The polemic of Gerindra's reprimand against Fadli Zon who satirized President Joko Widodo had a long tail. After Gerindra poked fun at the Deputy General Chairperson of Gelora Fahri Hamzah for defending Fadli, the Ummat Party's offer has now emerged for Prabowo Subianto's subordinates.

The Ummat Party opened the door for Fadli Zon to join his party. Ummat Party spokesman Mustofa Nahrawardaya assessed that Fadli Zon needed a comfortable place to fight for justice.

"I understand the situation very well. So, if Fadli Zon wants a comfortable place to fight for justice and fight injustice, the Ummat Party is the right place at this time," Mustofa said, Friday, November 19.

Again, the Deputy Chairperson of the Gelora Party Fahri Hamzah defended Fadli Zon. He assessed that the Deputy Chairperson of Gerindra would not change parties.

"It is impossible for Mr. Fadli to change parties," said Fahri Hamza, Saturday, November 20.

Fahri said Fadli Zon was one of the people who co-founded the Gerindra Party. In addition, he said, it is impossible for Fadli Zon to leave Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, who is Fadli Zon's closest friend.

"Because he is the founder and the person who accompanied Mr. Prabowo during difficult times to build the foundation of the party's struggle from the start," he said. Fadli Zon is more suitable to join PKS than the Ummat Party. Questioning the offer, the Director of Indonesian Political Parameters, Adi Prayitno, also gave an analysis of the advantages it will be a loss for Fadli Zon if he moves from Gerindra.

"If Fadli Zon moves to another party that doesn't qualify for Senayan, it will be a big loss. It could be that he doesn't become a member of the council anymore, which will automatically lose his 'influence' as a public official," Adi said, Saturday, November 20. "Currently Fadli Zon is phenomenal because he is a state official. If he is no longer an official, his critical attitude will taste bland," he continued.

Meanwhile, Adi believes that Gerindra will not lose too much by losing Fadli Zon in terms of party votes. However, one thing is certain, according to him, Gerindra will lose a critical and controversial figure.

"It seems that Gerindra has nothing to lose, because, in the Fadli Zon electoral district, Gerindra voters are still solid. It's just that Gerindra will lose his phenomenal controversial figure if Fadli Zon goes out. Gerindra loses a critic. strong. The bitter thing is, at least Gerindra lost one seat," he explained.

Adi assessed that Fadli Zon and Gerindra were in a dilemmatic situation. According to him, on the one hand, Fadli Zon could not resist being critical, but on the other hand, Fadli Zon's position in the Gerindra Party was indeed important.

"That's where the dilemma lies. On the one hand, Fadli Zon is an important person in Gerindra, but on the other hand, his critical attitude is unstoppable. If he continues to be critical, it's not impossible that someone will propose Fadli be PAWed because Gerindra's position is definitely uncomfortable with the government," he said.

If he is forced to change parties, Adi believes that there are two parties that are suitable and profitable for Fadli Zon, namely PKS and PAN. The two parties do have an opposition base in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) but are still big parties.

"I think Fadli Zon deserves to look for another party whose political beliefs are the same as opposition sects like PKS and PAN. In the past Fadli Zon was free because Gerindra was in opposition, now it's a different story when Gerindra is inside, of course, Fadli Zon is very shackled," he explained.

"Rather than always being uncomfortable in politics, critical attitudes are limited by parties that become government coalitions, coming out far better. Let's get a win-win solution. Gerindra is happy because no one is criticizing the government anymore, on the other hand, Fadli can be free from government criticism," concluded Adi.
