Kembangan Police Chief Says His Party Often Communicates With Two Conflicting Mass Organizations

JAKARTA – In order to prevent further clashes between two community organizations (ormas), the West Jakarta Kembangan Police have made a number of efforts by taking preventive measures.

Kembangan police chief Commissioner of Police Khoiri said to prevent clashes between the two mass organizations, his party would hold regular meetings between the two mass organizations.

"Maybe later there will be more intense meetings," said Kembangan police chief Commissioner of Police Khoiri when confirmed, Saturday, November 20.

Khoiri said, so far his party has held several meetings between the two mass organizations to find a peace solution.

"We hold meetings very often, maybe because of the COVID situation so we can't meet all of them, only representatives," he explained again.

Khoiri also explained that until now his party is still investigating the case of the beating that killed a member of the FBR mass organization in Joglo.

It is known that previously there were two victims of the beating. One of them with the initials DA (27), died after suffering a stab wound at one of the mass organizations' substations in the Joglo area, West Jakarta.

Meanwhile, another person with the initials PR (32) suffered serious injuries to the head after being stabbed by a sharp weapon.

Until, after the clashes, the situation is still not under safe control. In fact, in the aftermath of the death of a member of the FBR, one of the mass organizations posts in the South Meruya area, Kembangan, West Jakarta caught fire. However, it is unclear whether the perpetrators of the arson were carried out by a group of members of a mass organization.

"There is no progress, we are still investigating," he explained.
