TEGAL CITY - Tegal City Police carried out an investigation related to fires that occurred in two shipyards in Tegal City, namely PT Tegal Shipyard Utama (TSU) and CV Sumber Pangan Tegal. The two shipyards, which are located next to each other, are located in the village of Mintaragen, East Tegal, Tegal City.

Head of Public Relations, Kombes M Iqbal Alqudusy, explained that the police are still conducting a crime scene (TKP) related to the interests of the investigation.

"There are four witnesses related to the incident who have been questioned", said the Head of Public Relations via text message, Wednesday, November 17.

M Iqbal also explained that the firefighters had difficulty extinguishing the fire due to the distance between adjacent ships and no exit access. Moreover, the location of the fire is difficult to reach by fire engines.

"There were 8 fire engines involved from Tegal City, Tegal Regency, and Brebes. In fact, fire engines went back and forth to fetch water five times", he said.

Regarding the origin of the fire, the Head of Public Relations explained that the police were still digging for additional evidence. However, based on the testimony of a witness named Toha, 50. At that time he was doing repairs and suddenly saw fire rising from a ship.
