JAKARTA - The West Java Provincial Government is ready to become a pilot project for the COVID-19 Vaccine Car program initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf).

This activity is aimed at accelerating communal immunity and encouraging economic recovery that had been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are grateful that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has provided a way for the use of this vaccine car. So indeed, from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the pilot is West Java. I think this is a good movement that we should catch. Once again, thank you to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy," said the Head of the Tourism and Culture Agency of West Java Province, Dedi Taufik in his press release, quoted from Antara, Monday, November 15.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy has prepared two cars which were symbolically released at the West Java Governor's Office or Gedung Sate on Saturday, November 13, 2021, and there are two routes to be taken over the next few days.

The first route crosses Garut Regency, Tasikmalaya Regency, Tasikmalaya City, and Majalengka Regency.

Then the second route crosses Bandung Regency, Subang Regency, Indramayu Regency, Cirebon Regency, and will end in Kuningan Regency.

"We will provide services to areas where herd immunity is still low. It is possible that this vaccine car will also enter traditional villages in West Java," said Dedi.

The target of the Kemenparekraf COVID-19 Vaccine Car is people who are involved in the tourism industry and creative economy sectors.

To support the smooth running of this program, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy collaborates with many parties such as the West Java Provincial Health Office, West Java Provincial Tourism and Culture Office, West Java Province Village Community Empowerment Service, as well as regional officials in districts/cities.

In addition to the vaccine car, on the way, there will be two vehicles that are prepared to provide entertainment and this is intended to attract public interest to come to the vaccination location.

"We hope that this program will be the initiator for all SKPDs in the region. If we continue to help, we will not leave you alone because we believe we can. Together we will make West Java the champion," said Henky Manurung, Expert Staff for Crisis Management at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

According to the schedule, the first route will be traversed from November 13 to 23, 2021. Furthermore, this vaccine car will continue its journey to Central Java Province, and will only enter the second route of West Java in early December 2021.
