Bali Police Reveal Controlled Circulation Of Marijuana, Methamphetamine And Ecstasy From Kerobokan Prison

JAKARTA - The Bali Police revealed a case of abuse and distribution of narcotics weighing 5.4 kg, as well as dozens of packages of methamphetamine and ecstasy by the perpetrator named I Kadek Krisna Jaya who was controlled by someone from the Class IIA Penitentiary in Kerobokan, Bali.

"Dozens of marijuana packages were found from the perpetrators, with a total cannabis weight of 5,667.14 grams gross or 5,480.94 grams (5.4 kg) net", said Director of Drug Investigation at the Bali Police, Kombes Mochamad Khozin, when confirmed in Denpasar, Bali, as reported by Antara, Sunday, November 14.

He said that after being interrogated, the perpetrator admitted that he was controlled by someone known as Selo and that he was in the Kerobokan Prison.

Then, the perpetrator was ordered by Selo to distribute the narcotics in the form of marijuana, methamphetamine, and ecstasy.

"Until now, the whereabouts and role of Selo are still being investigated", he said.

From the perpetrators, evidence was found in the form of five large packages, each of which contained leaves, stems, and marijuana seeds weighing a total of 4,871 grams gross or 4,715 grams net.

In addition, 41 small packages, each containing leaves, stems, and cannabis seeds, weighing a total of 796.14 grams gross or 765.94 grams net, 31 plastic clips containing crystal clear crystal methamphetamine weighing a total of 15.04 grams gross or 10.20 grams net.

From the perpetrators, 251 tablets of light brown with the logo of the ecstasy monkey logo were also confiscated, weighing a total of 102.66 grams gross or 99.71 grams net.

He said that after collecting information and conducting an investigation, on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 5:45 pm, the perpetrator was arrested at his home, Banjar Selat Beringkit Dangin Pura Mengwitani, Mengwitani Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency.

After the search was carried out, it was found that the perpetrator possessed, stored, and or controlled narcotics of marijuana, crystal meth, and ecstasy, all of which were stored in an iron rack in his house for consumption.

The perpetrators and the evidence were taken to the Bali Police for further investigation.
