Prosecutor's Office Of Pidie Jaya Executes Four Convicts Of Corruption Bridge To Detention Center Banda Aceh

ACEH - The Pidie Jaya District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in Aceh executed four convicts of corruption in the construction of a bridge to the Class IIB State Detention Center (Rutan) Banda Aceh.

The Head of the Pidie Jaya Attorney General's Office, Mukhzan, represented by the Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Pidie Jaya District Attorney's Office, Andri Herdiansyah, said that the execution was carried out after the decision had permanent legal force or inkrah.

"The execution was carried out based on the decision of the Panel of Judges at the Banda Aceh Corruption Court. The convicts were each sentenced to one year in prison," Andri Herdiansyah said in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara, Thursday, November 11.

The four convicts are Mahlizar bin Arrahman as the director of the bridge construction company in Pangwa, Pidie Jaya Regency for the 2017 and 2018 fiscal years.

Next, Ahmad Zakiani Hasan bin Hasan as the implementing supervisory company borrower, Murtadha bin M Saleh as the owner of the consulting company, and T Raja Alkausar bin T Muchtar Sofyan as the technical implementing officer of the activity (PPTK). The convicts were found guilty of violating Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 of 1999 which was changed to Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

Andri Herdiansyah said the convicts were also sentenced to pay a fine of IDR 50 million each, subsidiary to one month in prison.

Meanwhile, the convict Mahlizar bin Arrahman, said Andri Herdiansyah, was also sentenced to pay compensation for state losses of more than Rp417.2 million.

"Against the replacement money, the convict has returned everything and it has been deposited into the state treasury by the reception treasurer of the Pidie Jaya District Attorney," said Andri Herdiansyah.
