Good News For Healthcare Workers In Cianjur, Regency Government Prepares Rp20 Billion To Pay Their Incentives

JAKARTA - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, has prepared Rp 20 billion to pay for incentives for hundreds of health workers at public health centers who have not received their rights for the past four months.

The Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman in Cianjur, Thursday said that his party had discussed with the relevant agencies that the payment of health workers incentives could be made in mid-November 2021, either at the public health center or hospital which had not been paid for the last four months.

"We have ordered it to be paid immediately, the regional government has budgeted Rp20 billion for the health workers. We hope that the health workers' efforts to pursue the percentage can be maximized, after receiving incentives," he said, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 11.

Secretary of the Cianjur Health Office, Irvan Nur Fauzi, said that the health workers' incentive payments for hospitals were carried out by each hospital. While the health office only coordinates the health workers on duty at the public health center, until now, the health workers of the health center have not received incentives since July.

"For the health workers of the public health center who have not been paid from July to October, the total is more than 900 health workers. The government plans to pay health workers incentives in the middle of the month or November 16, 2021," he said.

He said that the incentives will be given symbolically by the Regent of Cianjur, as an effort to speed up disbursement because all parties involved, such as health centers, health offices, hospitals, DPKAD, and the Inspectorate, are jointly carrying out their duties.

"For each health worker at the public health center, the amount is around Rp5 million per person, later it will be symbolically handed over by the Regent of Cianjur accompanied by the relevant agencies and agencies," he said.

Previously, hundreds of health workers in all public health center in Cianjur, complained that they had not received incentives from July to October from the government. Even though they are still involved as the front line in handling the pandemic, including intensifying vaccinations.

"If you say complaining, we will complain because our payments are always late. But on the other hand, we are also grateful that we have received incentives. But we hope to get priority, especially at this time, we don't have holidays because we have to pursue vaccination targets," said the health center staff, who requested anonymity.

In line with the health worker at the Cianjur hospital, he admitted that he last received incentives from handling COVID-19 patients, in June, while the incentives for four months from July to October had not yet been disbursed, so many of them were forced into debt.

"If I'm not mistaken, he said Rp7 million per person, but for the last four months, we have not received it. If you owe a lot, we hope to pay from incentives," said the health worker, who also asked for anonymity.
