DENPASAR - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Pandjaitan highlighted the violation of health protocols (prokes) by a number of restaurant and nightclub managers in Bali.

"It's a restaurant that is being highlighted now, it's not a nightclub, it's a restaurant and a restaurant," said Dharmadi, Tuesday, November 9.

In restaurants (no need for an internal task force) because it is easier to monitor and in restaurants the seats are definitely neater than nightclubs," he said.

However, it is recognized that the implementation of the process is not perfect. Dharmadi is committed that the officers and business managers have made the same commitment.

"So, there is no other place, only in Bali, especially Badung and Denpasar, these nightclubs form a task force internally by using armbands in their internal when they receive guests at their business. This is also part of something new and not common," he said.

Meanwhile, in other places, such as in minimarkets and supermarkets, it is said that the implementation of health protection is strict and it is mandatory to enter using the PeduliLindung application.

Meanwhile, nightclubs and restaurants that stubbornly violate the prokes will be given a temporary closure or a fine of IDR 1 million in accordance with the regulations in the Bali Governor Regulation (Pergub).

"The temporary closure or we will be fined IDR 1 million. It depends on the level of the error. At least the infrastructure in that place is available, we monitor its implementation," he said.

Previously reported, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan revealed the findings of the team monitoring the implementation of health protocols at tourist attractions in Bali and Bandung.

As a result, there is a beach club-type restaurant in Bali that operates in violation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) provisions. This he conveyed in a statement related to the results of the limited meeting of the PPKM evaluation chaired by President Joko Widodo.

"We found several violations in the field, mainly in several restaurants and beach clubs in the Bali area," Luhut said on the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube video, Monday, November 8.

Luhut said, the results of the "spy" findings to these tourist attractions, it was found that there were beach clubs in Bali that operated without capacity restrictions, there was no physical distancing, and there was no effort from the management to implement health protocols during activities.

"Regarding this, we ask the local government to play an active and decisive role in cracking down on violations like this, and require all managers to have the PeduliLindung QR code and also ensure that guests scan the barcode," Luhut explained.
