Cartenz Peace Task Force Arrests Puncak Jaya KKB Members On Pilkada Voting Day

JAKARTA - The Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations Task Force managed to arrest a member of the Puncak Jaya armed criminal group (KKB) named Oni Enumbi alias Mamberamo alias Bumiwalo.

The arrests were made around the Blue Stall, in front of the Puncak Jaya Police, Mulia, Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua, on Wednesday, November 27 at around 11.15 WIT.

Head of Damai Cartenz-2024 Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, said Oni Enumbi was a member of the Puncak Jaya KKB under the leadership of Ternus Enumbi.

Oni Enumbi was included in the People's Wanted List (DPO) of the Puncak Jaya Police for being involved in the shooting and killing of personnel of the Eagle Task Force on March 17 in Kulirik Village, Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency.

The arrest of Oni Enumbi was carried out based on DPO/S-34/04/IV/2024/Reskrim dated April 25, 2024 and Police Report number LP/A/03/III/2024/Res Puncak Jaya/Polda Papua, related to the shooting and killing of personnel of the Elang Task Force.

Rahmadani said Oni Enumbi had been detained at the Cartenz-2024 Damai Ops Task Force Command Post in Mulia, Puncak Jaya Regency and was under intensive investigation by investigators.

He added that the investigation carried out by the investigator was to ascertain whether Oni Enumbi was involved in other acts of violence committed by the KKB in Puncak Jaya Regency.
