Rich Brian Becomes The First Indonesian Musician With 10 Million Listeners Per Month

JAKARTA - Rapper Rich Brian made history as the first Indonesian singer to have 10 million total listeners per month on Spotify.

88Rising as the record label that houses Rich Brian announced this good news through social media.

“@richbrian has crossed 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He is the first Indonesian to get this big number,” said 88Rising on Monday, September 6.

Rich Brian re-uploaded the post and thanked his music listeners.

“I wouldn't be able to do this without you, great and cool people who hear my music. With all my heart, I thank you,” said Rich Brian.

Rich Brian is a man named Brian Immanuel who started his career under the 88Rising label. He has released two albums, namely Amen (2018) and The Sailor (2019).

Most recently duet with Bbno$ for the song Edamame which was released on July 23. This song has successfully occupied various international music charts.

In addition he also participated in making the soundtrack album Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Brian sang for three songs: Always Rising, Lazy Susan, and Run It.
