The Reasons Why Fans Will Be Surprised By 'The Beatles: Get Back', The Director: This Is Very Intimate, Not Just A Music Documentary

JAKARTA - Director Peter Jackson explains why Beatles fans will be surprised by the documentary project Get Back.

Quoted from GQ today, July 13, Jackson mentioned that The Beatles: Get Back format focuses more on the members' intimate conversations than the music side of The Beatles.

“I think people will be surprised by the series for two reasons. First, it's more intimate than they think because everyone is used to seeing music documentaries a little bit MTV-like, like pop and just music, music, music".

“Music is not the main focus of this film: strangely, what goes on behind the music is what lies ahead”, says Peter Jackson.

This documentary emphasizes talking to The Beatles rather than their performances that many other films feature.

"The other reason I think fans might surprise is how funny this movie is, considering this footage and the Let It Be movie, you don't relate to January 1969 but it's a really funny movie", he said.

The Beatles: Get Back features the friendship of George, Ringo, John, and Paul from the recording sessions of the album recorded by Michael Lindsay-Hogg. The series will be divided into three parts which can be watched on Disney+ from November 25-27.
