JAKARTA - The Bandung-based folk-pop duo, Ruang Senja, is back to greet Indonesian music lovers with their latest single titled "Penahan Luka Terkuat".

Eriza Triwiguna and Fajar Taufik Hidayat present this song as a form of deep respect and dedication for women, especially mothers who often become the main pillar of strength in a family.

Through a string of emotional lyrics wrapped in warm arrangements, this song beautifully portrays the great sacrifice of a mother. The story of the struggle from the time of pregnancy, risking life during childbirth, to the willingness to hide the pain to see the child's smile, becomes the main axis of the story.

The figure of the mother in this song is portrayed as a tough, sincere person, and often chooses to hold her own pain in silence.

"Penahan Luka Terkuat" lahir dari ruang personal penulisnya, Fajar Taufik Hidayat. Pengalaman pahit kehilangan sang ibu diakui menjadi salah satu fase paling getir dalam hidupnya, yang kemudian menjelma menjadi pemantik utama lahirnya karya emosional tersebut.

"This song is an expression of longing and gratitude for my mother, and also for all the great mothers out there who are often strong in silence," said Fajar in his statement, Friday, June 12.

Musically, the duo remained faithful to the folk-pop music corridor by inserting a touch of ethnic elements that became their differentiator and identity.
