JAKARTA - Pongki Barata welcomed the 2025 Indonesian Music Conference (KMI). He is optimistic that forums like this will have a positive impact on the Indonesian music ecosystem.

In the October 9 panel conference, Pongki, who was also a speaker, said that he would discuss the log sheet or recording the proposed song could be changed to digital data, so that it could act as a form of royalty transparency.

He also highlighted the issue of metadata related to the writing of the name of the singer who will receive royalties.

"Can there be qualified people who can do it? Don't get me wrong, you know. Ordering metadata, Pongki Barata's name is, for example, on a digital platform, right, you can use Pongki's Y, Barata, or Pongki's use I, that's the same person? The question is right. If there is a data center, there is no ID card for one of them, right? It's money," he explained.

In general, according to him, in royalty rights, there are major challenges faced, namely awareness of reports on the use of songs in log sheets reported at the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN) and a recording system for using songs so that they can switch to digital systems so that they can be accurate and transparent.

As well as the issue of the trust of the organizers of the music event (event) at LMKN.
