JAKARTA - After Emil declared his resignation from NAIF, now vocalist David Bayu announced that this band with hits single Mobil Balap has disbanded. This was revealed by David on his YouTube channel, David Bayu Tube.

"Yes, it can be said (NAIF) categorized as disbanded. Yes disbanded," David said regarding the current status of NAIF as quoted by VOI, Tuesday, May 11.

The vocalist also said that he had proposed to his colleagues to announce the status of NAIF in October last year, right on the NAIF's 25th anniversary. But they're not doing it.

The reason they canceled the announcement of the disbandment of naif on the quarter-century anniversary was that Emil did not want to be in the public spotlight.

"Later, it should not be announced on 25th years," continued David imitating Emil's words.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Amil Hussein or often known as Emil confirmed that he was no longer with NAIF.

Emil also confirmed that he had left the group since the third quarter of 2020 and is now more focused on developing his business.

"It's true I've been saying goodbye to my guys since September 11, 2020," Emil said as reported from Antara.

The man who previously filled the position of bassist at NAIF mentioned that he has chosen to focus on developing his shoe business since the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to the shoe business, Emil is also known to have several businesses in the food and beverage sector.

As for personal projects for the music industry, he admits he hasn't thought about it yet.

"I have a lot of project music other than with Naif actually, but it's when I'm still in Naif. It's been distributed in some movies but it hasn't been released yet. If collected it can be compiled into one album. But now I am no longer focused on music," said Emil.

In addition to Emil, it is reported that Pepeng, who filled the position of drummer and initiator of the band that was born from the campus of the Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ), also left naif.

Naif was founded in 1995, some of their hits that managed to stay in the hearts of Indonesians include Benci Untuk Mencinta, Air Dan Api, and Possessive.
