Glenn Fredly's Hologram Appearance Becomes Uniqueness From Soundsfest 2025

JAKARTA - The appearance of 'Glenn Fredly Live by The Bakuucakar: Holographic Performance' is one of the most worth looking forward to from the 2025 Soundsfest event which will be held at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on May 23-25.

Ryan Novianto as Program Director Soundsfest said the concept to be displayed was the first time for a music festival.

Meanwhile, the concept of this show will feature The Bakuucakar playing live on stage, while the late Glenn Fredly will be presented as a hologram with Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) technology.

Glenn Fredly's HOlogam was made in CGI. So, his movements and voice are really 100 percent Glenn Fredly," he said.

Ryan said that the presence of Glenn Fredly Live by The Bakuucakar: Holographic Performance was through permission from Bumi Entertainment, the management that oversees the late Glenn and his catalog.

In fact, it was stated that Glenn's management welcomed the offer from Soundsfest.

"They are really happy, they are really waiting for them. Because after 2023, no one has contacted them at all to use Glenn's hologram," Ryan said.

Meanwhile, regarding the reason Soundsfest wanted to present this concept, Ryan said that Glenn was the best choice that could make this event unique.

"Because we think we need uniqueness, we need a different line up from the others, and coincidentally I was also involved in making the Glenn hologram at that time, so we asked for permission from Bumi Entertainment," Ryan said.
