Once Invited To Sing At Private Karaoke, Wika Salim: I'm Confused

JAKARTA - Singer Wika Salim revealed that he was once offered a singing job at a karaoke place. For him this is a natural thing for dangdut singers like himself.

"Actually, it's normal and not just me, I think what job is offered is like that," said Wika Salim, quoted by VOI from YouTube Trans7 Official, Wednesday, February 26.

"Actually, it's also a job, but he was invited to sing at just a karaoke place," said Wika.

He also explained that there were several factors that made him hesitant to take the job, one of which was a small room atmosphere and direct interaction with guests he did not know.

"Yes, actually, if you are comfortable, it's just that I'm comfortable, sometimes it's a small karaoke room, if we sing only in front of people we don't know, if I'm confused it will happen," he said.

Even so, Wika also mentioned that there are some singers who may not object to such work, especially those who are more relaxed and don't think too much about the situation around them.

"Well, if it's comfortable, maybe it's just a cool meaning, so it's okay because it's just a song," explained Wika.

However, for himself, the decision to refuse the job was not due to belittle, but rather to a sense of confusion and lack of comfort in the situation.

"But if I don't take it because I'm confused," he said.
