Mike Trap Calls It Important To Broadcast White Lion Songs

JAKARTA - Danish singer and founder of White Lion, Mike Tramp has completed the album titled "Songs Of White Lion - Vol. III". Similar to the previous two editions, this album contains a rearrangement of White Lion's songs.

Tramp stated that this album is the closing of his trilogy music project for the Songs of White Lion.

We're basically just finishing the 'Vol. III' recording to end the trilogy. This will be the closing. So, almost every White Lion song has an updated version," Mike Trapp said in a recent interview with Australian media, Heavy.

When asked why this trilogy project is important, Tramp said, the novelty presented made him want to continue playing these songs.

"Yes, without intending to disrespect myself and the band I founded, I personally couldn't stand listening to the versions of that time," said Tramp.

"I'm in a completely different place. So, so that I can play these songs again, I have to find something new and fresh, even though it's the same thing," he continued.

Trap also talked about how to perform songs, different from 40 years ago. With the age of 64 years, his voice has changed from time to time.

With my albums that have been released, my voice naturally changes little by little every year. So, when I re-introduce White Lion songs, I clearly can't sing them with the same key," says Trap.

So, after we updated it and found a new key for the songs, I performed now with the knowledge that I wrote those songs 40 years ago. I want to say, 'I'll sing it a little different',' he concluded.
