Dani Filth Gives Leaks About Cradle Of Filth Collaboration With Ed Sheeran

JAKARTA - Dani Filth talked about the band's collaboration, Cradle of Filth with Ed Sheeran. He called the collaboration "completed".

The frontman Cradle of Filth said the song recorded a few years ago was over, and the results sound great.

"We did (record) about two years ago," Dani said as a guest of The Downbeat Podcast, citing Metal Sicks, Wednesday, January 8.

The 51-year-old vocalist said there had been talks between the two parties regarding how the song was released.

"I think our manager is in touch, somehow. His manager, Stuart (Camp), used to listen to Coal Chamber (a band featuring Cradle Of Filth manager, Dez Fafara) as he grew up," he continued.

Regarding the long reason for the release schedule even though the song has been completed, Dani said that the busyness of Cradle of Filth and Ed Sheeran is the main cause.

"We didn't want to release it at that time, because we were busy with other things. Then (Sheeran) couldn't release it because he was doing a lot of things. So, the song will just be released. We don't want to include it in the album," Filth said.

While, regarding the description of the song, he said, "This is a new Cradle Of Filth song featuring Ed Sheeran, and many parts sound like Ed Sheeran. He plays acoustic guitar, he sings Ed Sheeran, but many parts sound like us."

"There's a loud feeling, screaming. Ed really forces himself in it. He sings rock vocals. It's a really good song. Only a handful of people (who've heard it). My mother hasn't even heard of it."
