JAKARTA - Ismaya Live as the organizer of the DWP24 released an official statement on reports from several festival visitors. It is known that an irresponsible action was taken by an individual around the event area last December.

Responding to complaints and reports that went viral on social media, the organizer stated commitment and compensation as a form of responsibility. The following is a complete statement on the incident that occurred at DWP24.

We would like to thank all those who have supported and provided valuable information, so that we can cooperate with Indonesian authorities regarding the 2024 DWP incident. We deeply regret the inconvenience experienced by the affected parties.

For 16 years, the Djakarta Warehouse Project has become an important pillar in the world of music and culture in Indonesia, by welcoming nearly 1 million visitors from more than 70 countries. Even though this incident was very disappointing, it actually strengthened our determination to prioritize the safety and comfort of visitors at every event.

We have worked closely with the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Ministry of Tourism, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and the Association of Indonesian Music Promoters (APMI) in this matter. We thank the Police for their rapid investigation, which resulted in firm action against those who were proven responsible, and supported the return of funds for those affected.

This move reflects our commitment to visitor accountability and safety.

To the DWP community around the world, we would like to thank you for your trust and patience. We are taking concrete steps to rebuild trust in DWP and Indonesia as the main destinations of music and culture. Together with the Ministry of Tourism, Police and APMI, we will implement new steps to ensure safety and comfort in every event in Indonesia.

In the past month, legal reports have been submitted to investigate allegations of extortion committed by uniformed persons. Examination until the ethics trial has been held as a follow-up to this case.

With this attitude, the organizers hope that the same thing will not be repeated at the DWP event in the future. Moreover, the festival has become a magnet for visitors from within and outside the country to enjoy music parties with international class names.
