Jasmine Nadya Releases Sorry I Phone You, A Nada Of Regret About The Past

Jasmine Nadya took a break for more than a year to release her latest musical work. A single titled Sorry I Phone You was released by the soloist who was born on May 14, 2005 on Friday, September 20.

This is Jasmine's third single after Favorite Art, its release last 2023. Through her new single, Jasmine tells about regret in a relationship.

"By taking inspiration from personal experience, I made a 'Sorry I Phone You' which is an outpouring of my regret for dealing with someone who from the start never imagined that I would be with him. I was the one who contacted him for the first time just for fear of being lonely so this song became a kind of apology because I shouldn't have done that," Jasmine said in a written broadcast received by VOI, September 20.

She still writes on her own and uses English for all the lyrics, this girl who is also a photography enthusiast feels that challenges exist at the time of recording. However, with the help of the Sony Music team, the process can run smoothly so that music lovers can hear it.

According to Jasmine, there is something new she feels in this single. Not related to music, but the character that feels changed.

"If my two previous songs tell about feelings of falling in love, here, I put a more personal story, namely guilt and regret for what I've done. Therefore, I hope this song can be an expression of the feelings of people who have felt the same way, but no one has yet put it into songs like this. I also hope this work can become a stronger bridge between me and my listeners," he explained.

With the release of this third single, Jasmine sees it as a big responsibility for the label that houses it. However, it does not cover gratitude and happiness because it got this opportunity, as well as gives him a new spirit to continue to develop.

Through her latest song, Jasmine admits that she finds the direction of her taste in music, namely folk.

The previous two singles were like the stage of my introduction as a singer. Now, I learned to dare to show the side of conflict in my life so that this song is more felt to provide a strong statement. Hopefully the knowledge I got from the release that yesterday can help create songs that really make me proud and more touching to the hearts of the listeners."

Three words that feel appropriate to describe this song are Dark, I want the aura to be darker than my two songs that were dreamy and bright before because this song describes a regret; Intimate, I always want my listeners to feel the intimacy and feelings that I put in every work; and finally Sentimental because there are separate personal reflections that I want to be felt as well by my listeners, ranging from arrangements, voices, to existing messages, concluded Jasmine.
