Ari Bias Continues To Sue Agnez Mo To The Commercial Court Regarding Copyright

JAKARTA - Songwriter Ari Bias has officially filed a civil lawsuit regarding copyright against Agnez Mo to the Commercial Court.

In the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the Central Jakarta District Court, Ari Bias, registered under the name Arie Sapta Hernawan, filed a lawsuit against Agnez Mo, registered with the name Agnes Monica Muljoto.

"Yes, that's right (Ari Bias sued Agnez Mo)," said Mario Pencawan from Ari Bias's legal team, by telephone to VOI, Thursday, September 12.

Mario said the first trial from his client would take place on Thursday, September 19 next week, with an agenda for reading the lawsuit.

Ari Bias's attorney admitted that he had not communicated from his side with Agnez Mo or his representatives, even though he had opened up so far.

At the first trial later, said Mario, Agnez Mo's party should have complied with the summons of the Commercial Court at the Central Jakarta District Court.

"Seharusnya, wajibnya hadir, boleh Agnez Mo-nya, boleh kuasa hukumnya. Karena kan ini sudah dianggap dianggap secara layak oleh pengadilan," ujarnya.

Regarding the material for the lawsuit, Mario said his client sued Agnez Mo for alleged copyright infringement, where the singer performed the song Bilang Saja which incidentally was written by Ari Bias, without permission and commercially.

"The material is more or less the same (with the report at Bareskrim Polri), because Agnes Monica uses a commercially unlicensed song, the song "Just Ticket"," concluded Mario Pencawan.
