Bruno Mars Wants To Sweat, Dance, And Have Fun With Spectators In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Bruno Mars completed the first day of concert which was attended by tens of thousands of spectators at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Wednesday, September 11 last night.

The concert, which was held by Live Nation, TEM Presents, and PK Entertainment, began with the playing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya.

A few minutes later, while waiting for the crowd to fill the stadium, until finally the big curtain covered the stage, indicating Bruno Mars and the band were ready to perform.

The first verse of the song '24k Magic' echoed, greeted by the screams of tens of thousands of spectators who had filled JIS. The Curtain was opened, the screams were getting louder for Bruno Mars.

After opening the concert with the first repertoire, the Hawaiian-born singer greeted the audience. It seems a relief to be able to return to visit Indonesia after ten years.

"Jakarta, I'm here. We waited a long time to come back here," said Bruno Mars.

Trying to remember the experience of performing in Jakarta in 2014, Bruno wanted the audience who were present to enjoy the show again.

"We remember when you last came here, you guys danced, you partyd," he said.

"And I think, we're going to be really sweaty (today night)," he continued.

The 38-year-old singer also invited the band and the audience to have fun together.

"I'm not going to lie to you, it's hot here, Jakarta. What's the point if we don't sweat, right?" said Bruno Mars facing the band.

"We have to do it, let's dance, let's have fun," he told the audience again.

Next, Bruno Mars and the band brought 'Finesse' which was then followed by Treasure. The best songs are presented for almost two hours. Until the end of the show, Just the Way You Are and Uptown Funk are presented as covers.

The excitement of the Bruno Mars concert in Jakarta is not over yet. There are still two other shows, for September 13 and 14.

Bruno Mars still wants to let go of his longing with tens and even hundreds of thousands of spectators again.
