JAKARTA - Katy Perry's latest single music video entitled 'Lifetimes' caused controversy. Filming in the Balearik Islands located off the east coast of Spain is said to have not obtained a permit.

The Department of the Balearic Islands Environment in Spain is said to have conducted an investigation. The reason is, filming was carried out in a protected area, Parc Natural de Ses Salies.

Responding to the controversy, Capitol Records as a label where Perry belongs gave his response. It was stated that filming the music video "Lifetimes" had received verbal approval.

"The local video production company assured us that all necessary permits for the video have been secured," a Capitol Records spokesman said, citing Variety on Friday, August 16.
