JAKARTA - Weird Genius personnel, Eka Gustiwana is one of Indonesian musicians and music producers who is interested in the development of music technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI) or artificial intelligence.

On his YouTube channel, the 35-year-old musician often displays content that discusses various AI-based platforms and how to use them.

However, Eka was once disappointed because there were some people who actually abused AI after seeing the content.

"I made content about an AI platform to make songs. I thought it was a good discovery, so I wanted to tell people, so they were updated," said Eka Gustiwana when met in Gambir, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 13.

"But it turns out that many abuse it. Some upload it to DSP, to Spotify and various things. Yes, disappointed," he added.

Eka feels the need for musicians to know technological developments, but that doesn't mean the technology can be used as freely as possible.

The Weird Genius personnel also apply limits to themselves. For him, AI can only be used in the post-production stage, but not for production and pre-production of music.

"I always recommend friends who are really musicians, you don't have to replace your brain with that (AI), because your brain is much better," he concluded.
