Chelsea JKT48 Apologizes For Lipsync Cover Guitar Using Other Creator Audio

JAKARTA - Chelsea Norman or Chelsea JKT48 has become a conversation on social media because of accusations of stealing audio from other creators for guitar cover content for the song Rapsodi on TikTok.

Meanwhile, accusations surfaced after the account X @cakepbg was scared of uploading and juxtaposing the guitar cover made by Chelsea and other creators under the name @vikiii.

"Please go viral, guys. Chelsea JKT48 stole someone else's guitar sound (my friend) but he claims to be bullying himself," wrote the account X @cakepbgstaku, seen Sunday, August 11.

The account concerns Chelsea's behavior of not giving credit and claims that the vote belongs to him.

"My friend suddenly saw a Chelsea video playing Rapsodi guitar, but his voice was exactly like my friend's guitar," the account continued.

Then, Chelsea responded to the allegations. Through an Instagram Story upload, the JKT48 member apologized for using other people's content without permission.

Chelsea admits to making other people's content an inspiration, and he has his own reasons why he 'puts' audio from other creators in his content.

So far I have been inspired and made some tiktok and youtube content my reference. I'm sorry I used those videos without permission, and because my guitar sound was too small, it caused a misunderstanding that it was as if I claimed that I played the sound," Chelsea wrote.

"Then I meant from investigating myself, I got the sound I got from tiktok," he continued.

He promised to change the way he creates content so that similar incidents do not happen again.

"In the future I will not repeat the same thing again, and I will train even more to be able to create better content. Thank you for the input, yes, once again, I'm sorry."
