Taylor Swift Dominates MTV VMAs 2024 With 10 Nominations

JAKARTA - In the midst of Eras Tour's busy schedule, Taylor Swift's name has returned to the topic of conversation after leading the recently announced list of MTV VMAs 2024 nominations.

The 34-year-old singer was nominated for ten categories, eight of which were thanks to the song Fortnight which was performed with Post Malone.

Meanwhile, the other two nominations for Swift are the Artist of the Year category where she will compete with Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter, and SZA, as well as the Best Pop category where she will compete with Camila Cabello, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tate McRae.

The song Fortnight not only became a lever for Swift, but also for Post Malone. The 29-year-old singer was totally nominated for nine categories this year.

Apart from Swift and Malone, a row of other musicians who received many nominations were Sabrina Carpenter, Eminem, and Ariana Grande, with six nominations.

Furthermore, there are the names of Swims, BLACKPINK Lisa and Olivia Rodrigo who each received four nominations.

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa,men, Anitta, Tyla, Bleachers, and GloRilla won three nominations.

Meanwhile, the awarding night for MTV VMAs 2024 will be held at the UBS Arena, New York, United States on September 10.

Starting today, Tuesday, August 6, the vote by fans can be done online, and will end on August 30.
