Richard Kyoto Says Hetty Koes Endang Doesn't Feel Guilty Over Alleged Violations Of Copyright

JAKARTA - Prior to the open summons sent this week, Richard Kyoto admitted that he had sent a subpoena to Hetty Koes Endang some time ago.

Unfortunately, Hetty's response did not satisfy Richard. He said the 66-year-old singer did not feel guilty about the points mentioned in the summons.

"The response, yes (Hetty said) she is a great singer, she said she never made a mistake. Yes, if this is not wrong, what else," said Richard Kyoto during a press conference in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta recently.

"After he found out, he was in contact with Malaysia. He said it was not his business," he continued.

Richard assessed that Hetty was a person who was aware of the mistakes made by the concert organizers and the party that produced and distributed the CD. The response from Hetty actually made him no longer respect.

"So, Hetty said 'I've sung 1,500 songs'. I think what does it have to do with this mistake. He made 5,000 songs but if he made a mistake, should we justify it? " said Richard.

So, I think Hetty confirmed that the songwriter's name was changed to a malaysian. He knows, and I think he has this album too. He knows, but why hasn't he been looking for me for a long time. He knows I'm in Indonesia. So, the good faith isn't there."

Meanwhile, Richard Kyoto's open subpoena to Hetty Koes Endang contains four points, namely performing the song 'Love' without permission when appearing in a concert titled 'Consert One Voice Volume 2' which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 7 and 8, 2015, and changing the phrase 'life and death' in the lyrics to 'My dear love'.

"He changed the lyrics, he said because at that time the lyrics of the song were not accepted by the Malaysian people. Because 'life and death for you' were only for Allah. I said this is a song language, he changed it, meaning it was different," said Richard Kyoto.

Furthermore, the show was documented, duplicated, and circulated in the form of compact disc (CD) without the permission of the songwriter.

And the last point, Richard Kyoto's name was not listed as a songwriter and replaced with someone else's name.
