Basboi Releases Jersey To Strengthen Single Concept 'Persona' With Andien

JAKARTA - In celebration of the latest collaboration single with Andien entitled 'Persona', Basboi released a unique Official Merchandise in the form of Jersey. In addition to trying to show interesting things in terms of music, Basboi also wants to make a different merch from other musicians.

This 'Persona' jersey has also been worn by Basboi in video music from 'Persona', which can be watched on its official YouTube channel.

So far, many musicians have released T-shirts as official merchandise. Basboi was also inspired to make his own merch, but in a jersey version that looks like a t-shirt. Ivania Nabila's own jersey design, a local designer, has made the design follow the overall mood of the song "Persona".

Pesona itself tells about Basboi's admiration for the charm of independent women that he often meets in big cities. Women who have their own vision and mission, refuse to be objects, and are not afraid to stand on their own feet, even though it is common knowledge that the world and its method of 'rotating' is still unfair to women out there.

In writing, there is no grandiose meaning from Basboi other than celebrating and appreciating these independent women.

The urban music aesthetics in the early 2000s in Indonesia became the focal point in composing this song. First of all, Babsoi collaborated with Kareem Soenharjo (BAP.) on the production table to mix music, with the hope of reviving a sense of nostalgia at that era - but still blowing the spirit of modernity and hip-hop color that is typical for Basboi to play.

He chose Andien as a representation of the Indonesian pop icon in the 2000s which is also a manifestation of one of the inspirations for composing the song, namely his second album entitled Kinanti. Another inspiration is also contained in the chorus, which is an interpolation of Andezzz's hit single entitled Going' which was popular around 2007.

This single is presented in conjunction with a video clip produced by Hura Creative Garage and directed by Prama Surya, who is also working on a video clip of Basboi's previous single, New Cartier. Still displaying the 2000s visual aesthetics, this video clip also stars Andien and Aji Sabha, who act as the fictional radio announcer 80.1FM Boi Radio, which is told to be a new universe and entity in the next Basboi album campaign. Andezzz also appeared as a cameo, underlining the interpolation of the chorus section found in this song.
