Collaboration With Young Musicians Becomes An Advantage For Making Bands

JAKARTA - At the end of last year, there was a band starting working on a music project with Eclat Story. Yeshua Abraham and Yosua Gunawan rearranged the song "Still" and "Manja" from Ada Band.

For the personnel of Ada Band, collaborating with a much younger music group is a bit of luck. That way, they can find out firsthand the musical interests of today's young people.

"It's like Eclat performing two songs Ada Band, for us it's refreshing the brain too, that children now have such tastes," said Dika, bassist Ada Band in Kemang, South Jakarta recently.

"So, that means conveying "There is a Band in Gen Z's own child. Not all Gen Z's children know where the Band is, who is the personnel," he continued.

In addition, Adhy as drummer Ada Band also admitted that he learned many things from his collaboration with Eclat Story. They saw a difference in composing songs from young musicians.

"That's why we also learn from Gen Z, that it's different in frequency, arrangement, sound, and all kinds of things. In the past, we were fast listening to songs, now we hear it using headsets, ourselves," said Adhy.

Dika as the songwriter saw a new arrangement presented with something fresh, and hoped that listeners from young people would accept it.

"The challenge to recycle the song, right, the song will be different or better," said Dika. "People usually guess, the notation of this song is made using a guitar or piano. At that time, I made it using a guitar. In the past, this song was said to be in a band, but with Eclat it was different, it felt like a'very famous'. So, in our opinion, the success of the rearrangement was successful.

Naga, vocalist Ada Band also agrees with what Dika said. He also mentioned that collaboration with Eclat Story, which incidentally is much younger, is fun.

"The process is very exciting and fun with them. When doing this song, it feels very effortless. And here we are experimenting a lot, "concluded Naga.
