Dinpar Calls The Sheila On 7 Concert Positive Impact On Medan Tourism

MEDAN - Sheila On 7 will hold a concert tour in five Indonesian cities, including Medan. This was responded positively to by the Medan City Tourism Office.

They stated that the band's concert from Yogyakarta would attract tourists to visit Medan.

"The tourism industry has the potential to increase and sectors such as hotels will also increase," said Head of the Medan Tourism Office Yuda Setiawan in Medan, Wednesday, as reported by Antara.

Yuda ensured that the Medan City Government under the leadership of Mayor Bobby Nasution always supports every event that is positive, including to stimulate the tourism sector.

With a large fan base, he believes Sheila on 7 can bring many travelers to Medan. "However, until now the EO has not coordinated with us," said Yuda.

On Wednesday (17/4, the promoter of the Sheila On 7 concert in 2024 entitled "Wait for Me in", Antara Suara, confirmed that the activity was carried out in five cities, namely Samarinda, Makassar, Pekanbaru, Medan and Bandung.

In Medan, the concert will be held at Soewondo Air Base, Medan Polonia, on September 14, 2024.

The promoter is optimistic that with a large number of fans ranging from various cities in Indonesia to Southeast Asia, Sheila on 7 concerts can increase tourist visits to cities where this concert is held.

On January 28, 2023, Sheila on 7, held a single concert in Jakarta. The activity was attended by around 25 thousand spectators from various regions.

Apart from the country, music groups consisting of Akhdiyat Duta (vocalis), Eross Candra (guitarist) and Adam Subarkah (basis) also have many fans abroad, one of which is Malaysia, a country that can be achieved with a single flight from Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.

In Malaysia, Sheila's on 7 fan calls herself the "SheilaGank Malaysia" whose community was formed since 2008. On Instagram social media, they have 4,798 followers.
