LMKN Rejects Allegations Of Not Transparent About Royalty

JAKARTA - The National Collective Management Institute (LMKN) firmly rejects allegations by several parties that there is no transparency regarding the collection of royalties for performing rights.

Dharma Oratmangun as the Chair of the LMKN emphasized that the royal collection agency he has led since 2022 tries to always maintain transparency.

"I want to say that our LMKN period is very transparent. Once again I say it is very, very transparent," said Dharma Oratmangun during a press conference at the LMKN Office, Kuningan, South Jakarta on Wednesday, January 17.

Dharma explained that LMKN always provides reports on royalties collection every year. His party even displays evidence of publication of LMKN reports in several newspapers.

"We have launched the 2022 report in one of the national daily ones. Later we will provide data, how much royalties have been received, which have not been received, are there. Because of the spirit of transparency, please ask the financial commissioner, ask what, the commissioner is ready to answer," he said again.

In front of the media crew, LMKN also displays the system they use to find out which parties have already and have not paid royalties for performing rights.

"Just try to remember the music concerts in 2023, if we look for the system, it means we haven't paid yet," said Yessy Kurniawan, Commissioner of LMKN.

For information, LMKN managed to collect royalties of Rp55,151,768,212 throughout 2023, and royalty payments that were in the payment process amounted to Rp20,765,952,588.

Later, the royalties collection data will be broadcast by LMKN so that it can be accessed by the public.
