Andre Taulany: It's A Lie If Ndhank Says He Never Received Royalties

JAKARTA - Andre Taulany denied Ndhank Surahman's confession that he had never received royalties from his songs for a long time.

The initial vocalist of Stinky said that Ndhank has always received royalties from his songs since the release of the first album until now.

"It's been informed by Stinky, pay, pay royalties continue. That's the Stinky album, which from the beginning until now, all sales or Ring Back Tone (continued) have been obtained, until now," said Andre Taulany in Ciputat, South Tangerang, Tuesday, January 9.

"So, if you say (Ndhank) don't accept royalties, lie about it. Accept it," he continued.

According to Andre Taulany, what Irwan Batara explained last week greatly explained the existing problems. The Stinky bassist said that Ndhank even received royalties for his songs from three parties, Stinky, a publisher and the Collective Management Institute (LMK).

Andre also questioned why Ndhank is concerned with royalties at this time, even though according to Andre, the former Stinky guitarist has agreed with the label for the distribution of song royalties.

"If the royalties are from the label, it's all standardized. He's all received it from before. If you want to complain from the start, he's already received all the royalties, the new period of complaining now," said Andre.

"If there really is an objection to value and all kinds of things, he has signed. If you really object, from the start before signing," he said.

Andre also admitted that he had paid royalties in accordance with applicable regulations, if he performed the song Maybe at the concert.

"Even if I am considered to sing, I have paid. The management has paid to the event organizer according to the law, and I follow the rules of the game," said Andre Taulany.

"So, I'm not careless, I'm not a thief, I'm not a thief, I've followed the rules, and the event organizers also pay for the creator's rights through LMKN," he concluded.
