Content Cover Songs Becomes The Way SMK In Jember Supports The Potential Of Students In Music

JAKARTA - SMK 1 Pancasila Ambulu has an interesting way of managing social media accounts. The school in Jember Regency, East Java uploaded a lot of cover content for the songs sung by its students.

It has been three years since they have regularly uploaded song cover content on their official school Instagram account. Even the Instagram account of SMK 1 Pancasila Ambulu was followed by almost 40 thousand people, a fairly large number for school accounts.

Sri Sunarnik S.Sos. as Deputy Principal said that cover content was originally created in order to attract new students. However, the content developed and became a school to support student interests and talents.

"Right now, schools are not just about knowledge, but we have to show students' talents. We have to develop the skills and talents of each student, but also have knowledge," said Sri Sumarnik when contacted by VOI some time ago.

With song cover content, students who have interests and talents in the music world or the creative world can also develop it. The reason is, the content production process also actively involves the role of students.

Aura Belgis Islamaya Iskandar, who is familiarly called Egis, an 11th grade student who took the Department of Accounting, was one of the students who often appeared to cover songs, both alone and with his other friends.

Not only developing the ability to sing, Egis feels that many are starting to get to know him. Because a lot of cover content for songs has gone viral and other social media accounts have been re-uploaded.

Egis is also happy because the cover content of the song is fully supported by the school. He also claimed to have the support of those closest to him, including his family. In fact, he began to grow his dreams of becoming a singer.

"I really want it (to become a singer)," concluded Aura Belgis Islamaya Iskandar.
