Now, Music Fans Can Use AI To Remix New Albums The Orb And David Gilmour

JAKARTA - Electronic duo The Orb and guitarist Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, gave fans the opportunity to make their own music remix using AI.

In collaboration with Sony, they launched the metallicspheres.io project on November 28 to allow fans to remix songs from the collaborative albums The Orb and Gilmour, Metallic Spheres In Color, which were released in September 2023.

This metallicspheres.io website allows fans to create personalized remixes using AI or compose songs using various guitar samples, vocals, and other Gilmour elements.

It is even possible to choose an emotional theme to cover the album and change preferences regarding mood and tempo, meaning AI can produce unique songs taking these characteristics into account.

Fans can then share the remix on social media, along with a redesigned album cover, which will soon be available for download.

The AI on this website was created by a company called Vermililio, a pioneer of a generative AI platform with a focus on empowering content creators and content authenticity. The technology they use uses a unique text-to-image and image-to-image style arrangement tool.
