Jikustic Re-releases I'm Not For You Rossa Has Popularized

Jikustik re-released the song Aku Bukan Untukmu (dok. Special)

JAKARTA - Jikustik completed the Back 4 Good mini album project by re-released Aku Not for you as the final single.

Meanwhile, I'm not for you to be the fourth single from Back 4 Good, where the first single was released last July.

Icha Aji (vocals, bass) as the songwriter said, the presence of Aku Bukan Untukmu in the latest mini album as a work that returns home.

"Being able to bring this work home and return home in the third era of Jikustik and sing it back with my friends in Jikustik is an honor for me," said Icha Aji in his statement, Tuesday, November 28.

It is known that I'm not for you, first performed as a song from Rossa's Elected album, which was released in 2006.

Previously, this song even wanted to be performed by Siti Nurhaliza. However, after several considerations, the song was not made for the Malaysian singer.

"Back home is the right term to describe the final single in this Back 4 Good mini album," said Ardi Nurdin (guitar).

"In my opinion, the four of us managed to bring back Me Not For You (Rework) with a touch of Jikustic musicals that have been characteristic of Jikustic for more than two decades," he continued.

On many occasions, Icha Aji said that this latest single was inspired by his personal experience that occurred 20 years ago.

"Sebagai seorang profesional di industri kreatif, terutama di dunia musik, saya meyakini bahwa setiap perjalanan hidup kita harus mampu dielaborasi menjadi sebuah karya yang tidak hanya dapat dinikmati, tetapi bisa menjadi bagian dari perjalanan hidup pendengaran musik," pungkas Icha Aji.

For information, Jikustik was formed on February 26, 1996, and they have given birth to nine albums during their careers, with several works that have become hits.

In 2023, Jikustik will return with their latest formations, namely Icha Aji (vocals and bass), Adit (keyboards), Ardi Nurdin (guitar), and Carlo (drums).
