JAKARTA - David Bowie's handwritten lyric sheet is estimated to have the potential to sell up to 100 thousand pounds (equivalent to Rp1.95 billion) in the auction.

The documents, which will be auctioned next week, contain corrections, drafts, and notes of the late singer for Roll Suicide and Suffragette City Rock 'n' songs.

Both appeared on an important album released in 1972, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and Spiders from Mars.

So far, the lyric sheet is valued at between 50 thousand and 100 thousand (equivalent to Rp978 million - Rp1.95 billion). This will be displayed on the sale of showcase Omega Auctions on November 28 tomorrow.

According to the letter of origin, the page comes from the album's last recording session. Bowie allegedly gave the lyric sheet to the original owner at Trident Studio, along with several other original lyric pages, some of which did not last.

The page side containing the lyrics of Suffragette City also shows a record at the bottom left for publishers. According to the note, Bowie was considering two more songs to be included in the album at the time It Ain't Easy and Round and Round.

Quoted from NME, Monday, It Ain't Easy' is the final cut, while Round and Round (cover Chuck Berry) was finally released as the 1973 B-side single, Drive-In Saturday from Badminton Sane.

The letter of origin also stated that the sheet was purchased by the current owner in the early 1980s, and was loaned to V&A in 2013 for an exhibition.

These are two favorite cults in Bowie's outstanding work and 'Suffragette City' has been described as one of the best," said auction manager Dan Muscatelli-Hampson in a statement.

This is an amazing artifact to own and hold and will definitely make millions of Bowie fans around the world excited just like Starman's lyrics," he continued.

We are excited to see what could be achieved that day.
