Jamie Lee Curtis Deletes Photos Of Palestinians, Tom Morello Calls For Criticism Of Actions That Harm Children

JAKARTA - Tom Morello called for criticism for actions that harm all children no matter who they are after Jamie Lee Curtis deleted a photo of Palestinians.

The actress was recently criticized after sharing photos from Gaza in posts supporting Israel and then removing them.

Curtis via Instagram showed her support for Israel and posted a photo of a child running where a boy was carrying a little girl.

The post's title reads Terror in the Sky with an additional Israeli flag emoji.

His support for Israel comes after Hamas launched an attack on Israel on the weekend, with more than 700 people in Israel and 600 people in Gaza confirmed dead since the attack on Saturday, October 7, according to BBC News.

The image was actually taken by Gaza-based photojournalist Samar Abu Elouf who shared the post over the weekend with a description: Palestinian families and their children fled the northern Gaza Strip to UNRWA schools in Gaza City, children were afraid of the sound of bombings that heard them during their presence due to events on the Gaza Strip border.

Journalist Muhammad Shehada then posted the photo on his X/Twitter account with the caption: "Cognitive Dissonance: Jamie Lee Curtis was deeply moved by this photo only when he thought they were Israelis. Once he found out they were Gazans, he lost all feelings for them and deleted the photo. Suddenly, terror from the sky is acceptable to him and the people he likes!

Morello reposted the journalist's tweet and said: 'I want to make a radical proposal that children's hurt actions, no matter who they are & whoever did it, are always wrong and must be condemned.'
