Ady Ex-Vocalist NAFF Bans Former Band From Performing 9 Songs

JAKARTA - Rusyaedi Makmun alias Ady, the former NAFF vocalist, asked his former band not to perform his songs anymore.

Ady's statement was delivered directly through a video uploaded by his YouTube channel, ADYCTIVITY.

"My attorney and I want to convey an open statement to Indonesian music lovers, EO friends, NAT management, and especially NAT personnel," said Ady, seen Monday, October 9.

"I state that I do not allow NAFF to perform my songs, my creations, for them to perform on stage or in any media," he continued.

It was not explained what caused the ban. However, it has been Ady's thought since 2010.

"Third years is not a small time or a short time for me to think. But in the end I have to think about my rights. Law on Copyright Number 28 of 2014 states very firmly that I have moral rights and economical rights in every song I present by others," said the 50-year-old singer.

"Well, that's my basis for why I made this decision," he added.

Furthermore, Ady stated that the purpose of prohibiting was so that the mentioned party could respect each other's work.

There are 9 songs that Ady forbade to perform by NAFF, namely Being Deposited by Laraku, Finally I Found You, You Are Still My Friend, ANG, When Everything Must End, Listen to My Life and Death, Not As Beautiful As Love That Should Be, If You Become My Friend Later, And When I Come Home.

For information, Ady joined NAAF in 1997. They debuted a year after they formed.

However, Ady left the NAFF in 2010. His position was replaced by Hatna Danarda alias Arda.
