Ananda Badudu Affirms Rara Sekar As An Unplaced Figure In Banda Neira

JAKARTA - Rara Sekar started his career as a singer in 2012, when he and Ananda Badudu formed the Banda Neira duo group. However, the two had to separate in 2017.

Currently, Rara Sekar chooses to undergo his solo project under the name Hara.

After Ananda Badudu's statement about the Banda Neira reunion that will never happen, the question of whether Banda Neira will continue by looking for a new vocalist is very natural.

Moreover, in the 2023 Partypora event, Ananda Badudu presented another female singer to fill the position left by Isyana Sarasvati's older brother.

However, Ananda Badudu, in a statement posted on her Instagram account, stated that Rara Sekar was an irreplaceable figure in Banda Neira.

"ThatZEir songs are now sung by new friends who were met along the way after Banda Neira disbanded, it's not to replace, let alone set Rara away from his works and memories," Ananda Badudu wrote in her Instagram upload, seen Monday, October 2.

Ananda Badudu wants Banda Neira listeners not to release Rara Sekar's whereabouts from the works that have been created.

"For all listeners, if we meet at any opportunity, and together support BN's songs again, it is to sow what was once planted wholeheartedly by Rara," said Ananda Badudu.

Even though they are no longer in the same music project, Ananda Badudu stated that Rara Sekar will continue to support the sustainability of Banda Neira's works.

For information, Banda Neira was formed in 2012, and had to end in 2017. For five years, they released two albums, namely Running Further (2013) and Breaking Growth, Missing Replacement (2016).
