JAKARTA - A country singer from the United States, Sundance Head, had to undergo a recovery period after accidentally firing a gun which resulted in him being injured.

Trey Newman, a publicist representing Sundance Head, said the incident occurred when the 2016 The Voice US champion was on his Texas farm.

"Head was keeping a gun on his farm when the gun fell off its sarong, hitting the side of it and hitting its stomach," Trey Newman said, citing CBS News, Sunday, November 17.

Newman said the bullet from the gun did not hit its vital organs, and it is hoped that the 46-year-old singer can fully recover.
