A Number Of Asian Music Games Participants Arrive In Jember

JAKARTA - A number of representatives of participating Asian Music Games have arrived in Jember Regency, East Java, which is the host of the international-level band marching championship.

"Alhamdulillah, a number of countries have been present in Jember to prepare for the Asian Music Games," said Head of the Jember Youth and Sports Service Edy Budi Susilo in Jember, Wednesday, quoting Antara.

According to him, several countries that have come are China, Japan, Vietnam, Maldives, Malaysia, Philipina, Taiwan, and Thailand, as well as representatives from several regions in Indonesia, namely West Sumatra, Bandung, Bali, Yogyakarta, and Malang.

"Today, many participants are still on their way to Jember Regency. We make sure that the Jember Regency Government will provide the best service for all participants of the Asian Music Games," he said.

He said that his party had really prepared what was needed for the implementation of the Asian Music Games which was held from September 22-24, 2023, both in terms of security and comfort in welcoming guests from these 11 countries.

Asian Music Games is the first international activity in Indonesia and Jember Regency to be chosen as the host as well as a representative from Indonesia along with several other regions to become participants in the Asian Music Games.

In the Asian Music Games, as many as 2,033 national and international band marching athletes will attend in Jember Regency and it is hoped that this activity can run successfully.

Regarding the readiness of the band's marketing participants from Jember, Edy said that the readiness of the Jember athletes who participated in the Asian Music Games was 100 percent and ready to present their best performances to make Jember Regency proud.

"They recently won the overall champion of the band's marketing sport at Porprov 2023 by collecting 6 gold medals and 1 silver medal," he said.

Dalam serangkaian Asian Music Games akan digelar Concert Band dan Individual Contest di GOR PKPSO, kemudian pada 23 September 2023 ada Grand Opening dan Lomba Street Parade, sedangkan Final Asian Music Games dilaksanakan pada 24 September 2023.
