Ari Padi's Reasons Are Interested In Making His Own Guitar Brand

JAKARTA - Ari Tri Sosianto, a guitarist better known as Ari Padi, has begun to pursue the world of luthier or string music instrument craftsmen.

The guitarist from Surabaya has his own guitar brand that has been produced for the last three years,tip.

Meanwhile, the name calm was taken from the nickname Ari from his friends.

Ari admitted that his desire to have his own guitar brand had been his dream since the 1990s, before joining Padi.

"Bikin gitar itu sebenarnya sudah inginan lama. Sebelum masuk Padi pun sudah ingin, tapi belum sempat kekirakan," kata Ari Padi saat menjadi tamu di kanal YouTube Dewa Budjana, dilihat Senin, 18 September.

"In 2019, when I was personally happy. From there I tried to make a guitar," he continued.

Ari also started designing his guitar through pictures of headstock's hands until the guitar was intact. Then, he tried to print the guitar design into Styrofoam and triplets, before actually working on the guitar.

Ari admitted that he was increasingly interested in the world of luthier after seeing many reliable craftsmen spread across various regions of Indonesia.

From a report, Ari also learned that Indonesia is a producer of large musical instruments with a large export value.

"There, it is called the export of Indonesian musical instruments in 2021, reaching 11 trillion," said Ari.

Instead of making a mock guitar, Ari feels that the luthiers in Indonesia should be more confident in making their own brands.

"I found a lot of Indonesian luthiers who were good, but unfortunately made fake guitars. That's what I really love. Yes, finally I intend to make this guitar more," concluded Ari Tri Sosianto.
