The Long Goodbye was officially announced two days before the launch of the 30th anniversary of the CANdlebox and the farewell tour of The Long Goodbye Tour 2023, which began June 10 and lasted until September 23.

The tour will feature a career retrospection from the catalog of eight extensive Candlebox album studios.

"Adam [Kury], BJ [Kerwin], Brian [Quinn], Island [Stoles] and I'm all very excited for everyone to hear this album," Candlebox frontman Kevin Martin said in an official statement.

"We encourage ourselves creatively as far as we can. The heart and soul will let us and create something we really like and we are very proud of," he continued.

"We can't wait for the world to hear The Long Goodbye, the last chapter of a long and famous career for Candlebox. One last album in one last tour to complete 30 years of rock 'n' roll with a sweet little bow."

The date of the farewell tour, along with the 3 Doors Down support date on "Away From The Sun Anniversary Tour" will be held in amphitheaters on major markets across the United States.
