JAKARTA - Former White Lion's vocalist, Mike Tramp will release Songs Of White Lion on April 14 through Frontiers Music Srl.

As its title implies, this album illustrates Tramp bringing back the Danish rock band's hits in new versions.

The single Cry For Freedom is available on all digital music services since last Tuesday.

"For me, the period 1983-1991 was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Everything I was doing back then was for the first time, and even though it was very exciting and adventurous, when it came to an ending, it was so much more than the end of a band, it also the end of a very specific time in my life that I have lived and been a part of," Tramp said in his official statement.

"For the next 20 years, I would revisit that time in my life in small parts, but never felt 100 percent comfortable with it. I couldn't bring myself to recreate my old self."

"Now, here I am again, it's 2023 and I've recorded an album of 'big' White Lion songs as close to the originals as possible, but exploring new bits and pieces that today I feel should be," he said.

"I'm not 26 anymore, I don't sing like I'm 26, and I wouldn't do justice to the songs or myself if I tried to sing like I was 26. Today, I sing songs I wrote with Vito Bratta over 40 years ago is exactly how I am today.

"This is the only way I can embrace them and feel at home and be honest with myself and the songs," said Ayu Azhari's husband.
